Our Services

If you own/operate a transmitter within the FCC licensed spectrum, you must make sure to comply with all rules contained in title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations. At RF Consulting we specialize in RF safety compliance. We offer a suite of products which ranges from MPE calculations and power density measurements, to radio frequency safety program (RFSP) development and implementation.

MPE-CalculationMPE Calculations

Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) limit calculations are performed to document theoretical power density levels and to analyze what-if scenarios when considering adding new transmitters in a facility. These studies are performed using a software analysis tool for evaluating radiofrequency (RF) fields, at telecommunications sites, produced by vertical collinear antennas of the type commonly used in the cellular, paging, PCS and conventional two-way radio communications services. These simulations allow evaluating and determining the best suitable location for new transmitters, minimizing the risk of overexposure. With operational information provided by the customer, we can accurately calculate what these theoretical exposure limits are for a specific telecommunications site. Also this information could provide insight of areas where exposure might be over the limit, where an RF hazard assessment is highly recommended.

Barricade InstallationRF Hazard Assessments

RF hazard assessments are specialized studies where electromagnetic energy levels are measured and documented. These measurements are taken by a highly trained and knowledgeable professional using a non-ionizing broadband field meter. After recording the data, it is processed and analyzed. A detailed report is prepared describing the findings of the survey. All reports are certified by a licensed professional engineer.

RF Safety Program (RFSP)

Radio frequency safety programs are an integral part and essential to conduct day to day operations safely in your organization. As an employer you must ensure employee safety in the workplace by complying with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. A RFSP will guide your organization towards achieving the goal of compliance and worker overall safety. Implementing a RFSP will reduce the probability of being fined by a regulatory agency or incur in damage compensation due to a worker complaint. RF Consulting will develop and implement a comprehensive RFSP adjusted to your specific needs.
